Periodic CPU Usage Spikes

Hi, while watching the performance tab in the task manager I noticed I have periodic cpu usage spikes, http://i51.tinypic.com/v5964j.jpg So I closed almost everything I could from the taskmanager and monitored the load % using RealTempGT....
